We use a sliding scale from $60 to $30 per visit.
There is a one- time $10 intake fee at your first visit in addition to the sliding scale fee.
Minneapolis Community Acupuncture is a member of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture. Like other sister community acupuncture clinics around the country we offer a sliding scale in order to separate the issues of money and treatment. Acupuncture works best with multiple treatments, and for some conditions more frequent visits are required, especially in the beginning. Our goal is to make acupuncture available for you as often as you need it.
We want acupuncture to be an economically sustainable part of your life and health care. Since everyone’s financial situation is different, we believe you are in the best position to know what is affordable for you. You determine what is the most appropriate fee for yourself within the sliding fee range, based on your personal income and expenses, in addition to the recommended frequency of treatment to address your needs. We do not require any income verification.
Each person in our acupuncture community contributes as they are able, to keep the clinic sustainable and accessible to all. We do not receive any grants or other funding. Patient fees are our sole source of revenue.
LATE CANCELLATION POLICY: To keep treatments affordable, it is vital that we see multiple patients in an hour. If you need to cancel we appreciate your providing adequate notice so we can offer that opening to another patient. Please give a 24 hour notice, if possible, when canceling an appointment. Missed appointments or late cancels will be charged a $30 fee, which is waived for illness, injury, COVID exposure, or helping another with illness or emergency.
Minneapolis Community Acupuncture accepts cash, checks, or credit/debit/HSA cards. All fees are payable at time of service. We do not do any insurance billing or process virtual payments.
